Robert’s Poetry Club
A type of living poem, Robert Monahan embodies the essence of creativity through the way he lives his life. Having studied poetry for three decades, writing has become almost as natural as breathing. He sees his practice as a means of self-discovery, a way to bridge the gap between the inner and outer realms. He believes that everyone possesses the ability to create something beautiful, thus everyone is an artist who has something genuinely unique to offer the world. Words just happen to be his gift, but to engage in any act of creation is to tap into something deep within and beyond one’s self. In a certain sense, it is opening a conversation with God.
Discover Your Magic
Writing poetry is a process through which the ordinary world becomes magic. Whether they know it or not, everyone has the ability to create something beautiful. This workshop aims to teach participants the value of simple writing techniques to unlock that ability. Observation, raw honesty, and mastery of language are invaluable tools that can be utilized in all areas of life. Each participant will leave with their own poem and new way of seeing the world.
